Catching the Wedge in Texas

While attending the National Symposium of the Oklahoma City Tornado of May 3, stormchasers/teachers Mike Ridgeway and Don Wheeler intercepted this large "wedge" tornado just south of Graham, Texas.  The tornado was approximately 3/4 of a mile from the camera and between 1/4 and 1/8 of a mile in width.  The catch was not without sacrifice as the SKYWARN III chase vehicle sustained hail damage from golfball to occassionally egg sized hail.  Click HERE for the analysis and more photos.
